Having served as a Pastor for nearly 20 years, it became apparent to Jim that churches, and people of faith, need voices they can have confidence in when it comes to financial advice. Jesus talked extensively about stewardship and the wise use of resources in many of His parables. As a Pastor, people would come to Jim for advice in many areas of life, but the one area where he felt least equipped to help was in the area of finance. It became apparent that he could become one of those people providing needed advice to the Christian community and beyond. After much study and experience, he finally became associated with Thrivent Financial, a company that demonstrates its commitment to service the faith community with products and services designed to meet many financial needs.  Jim is also a active grandfather with seven grandchildren.
